What to expect…
The SPRAVATO Experience
Prior to beginning treatment, our staff will conduct a comprehensive evaluation to determine if SPRAVATO® is the best option for you. We offer free consultations and have a Registered Nurse who will assist you through the prior authorization and administration.
SPRAVATO® is prescribed in one of two dosages: 56mg or 84mg. The first treatment will usually be 56mg. During treatment, you will rest comfortably under the supervision of a certified SPRAVATO® specialist for a 2 hours observation period. SPRAVATO® can trigger some short- lived side effects such as dizziness, nausea, dissociation, and sedation. It can also cause temporary increase in blood pressure. These side effects usually happen right after taking SPRAVATO® and go away the same day. Once the provider has released you, you will need a friend or family member to drive you home and are asked to refrain from driving until a good nights sleep.
The usual SPRAVATO® treatment plan consist of:
Month 1: Two treatments per week
Month 2: One treatment per week
Month 3+: Continued Maintenance treatment as needed
